Level 1 Basic Application

Level 1 is Terri Tomlinson's makeup application class focused on building the skill, technique and theoretical  needed to do a complete makeup on any face. This class is for those that have never picked up a brush to  those who do makeup but are looking for a strong skill-set. 

This class teaches the "why's" behind what we do as artists. 

From creating a kit to finishing with lips, Level 1 goes through each component of a makeup. We focus on the individual in the chair, not a set of steps that is repeated on everyone. Learn color and light theory, proper color matching, correction and finish. Go over eyeshadow styles that can be adapted to any shape eye, 4 lining techniques, proper brow placement, cheeks, lips and that touch of bronzer. 

Terri works on models so you see how to properly hold a brush, work on the skin and apply makeup in detail. Each lesson ends with a wrap and homework assignments. Total run time for Level 1 is 10.5 hours plus 18-20 of practical work and assignments. There are portals for uploading homework as well as to ask questions. Students who finish the class fully are rewarded a Certificate of Completion by Terri Tomlinson Makeup Training Academy and receive access to valuable information on working as a makeup artist.
